The new econ4 update

It's not easy to stay up to date at the moment. But with econ solutions it becomes easy! The new function update of our econ4 software is ready for you. The update integrates the new econ unit+ V2 data logger into the system. The update also boasts useful new features.

In addition to the integration of the new data logger, a reminder has also been introduced. This reminds employees of future calibration dates and meter changes by e-mail. Other new features include fast navigation from the structure tree to the measuring point and the display of percentages in the composition report and the ABC analysis. The export of QR codes as PNG files facilitates the planning of meter routes via the econ mobile app.

The new econ unit+ V2 data logger only runs with the econ4 energy management software.

So why should you switch and what advantages does the new data logger give you?

The econ unit+ V2 data logger has two Ethernet ports with daisy chain function, so that several devices can be connected in a chain. Meters and sensors of all kinds can be connected via all common interfaces (S0 pulse, M-Bus, Modbus, digital and analog signals). Up to 80 M-Bus loads and up to 32 Modbus RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) participants, such as meters for electricity, water, gas and heat, can be read out. The econ unit+ V2 can also be integrated into a BACnet/IP or Modbus TCP network. The econ unit+ V2 WLAN variant also has a WIFI interface with which it can be integrated into a WIFI network via the infrastructure or ad-hoc. The measured values can be sent (push) from the database in parallel via email (SSL) and FTP (SFTP) or read out (pull) via FTP (SFTP). The compact design, the option of easily connecting expansion modules and an intuitive web interface for commissioning, configuration and operation make the econ unit+ V2 easy to use anywhere.

econ reminder - a new point in the field of controlling

The econ reminder can be used to store the dates for the next calibration and the next meter reading changes. The responsible employee automatically receives an e-mail reminder. As with many other econ functions, you can use the "Internal file storage" to record the activities carried out using photo documentation.

The structure tree - just three clicks to the measuring point details

The new update also remains true to the motto "Energy management amazingly easy". Users can access the measuring point details with just three clicks.

1. Open the structure tree in the current report
2. Right-click on the desired measuring point
3. Select "Edit measuring point". This opens a new tab with the details of the measuring point.

Percentages - Two reports extended

The composition report and the ABC analysis have been expanded to include the display of percentages. In future, these values will be available as tooltips in the column and pie charts, will be listed in the table view and can also be exported.

Export QR codes as PNG files

Use the "Edit meter lists" to plan routes for meters to be read manually. Using your cell phone, you can use the econ mobile app to read the QR code attached to each metering point and enter the meter reading. The new "Export QR codes as PNG" function creates a QR code as a PNG file for each individual meter and saves it in a ZIP file.
